Parcels posted at a post office before normal closing time reach the addressee the next working day (Monday-Friday). However, parcels to Bornholm and to and from the very small islands may take up to two days. Only parcels sent by Saturday Delivery Parcels will be delivered on Saturdays.

Post Danmark can trace a parcel using its bar code, so if you want information on a parcel that you have sent Post Danmark can trace the parcel. You can also get information here on Post Danmark’s home page (Track & Trace) by typing in the bar code number of the parcel.
If you want to send parcels to the Faroe Islands, Greenland and other international destinations you can choose between two different postage streams, each represented by a colour.
You can send parcels of up to 20 kg to most of Denmark’s major trading partners. See Prices to The Faroe Islands, Greenland, and international destinations or ask at the post office.
You cannot send just anything in a parcel abroad and the rules may vary from country to country. To a certain extent you can get more detailed information on this at post offices. Exact information is available from the embassy or consulate of the country in question.
You should always check yourself as to whether what you are sending requires customs clearance in the receiving country and whether its importation is permitted. As the sender you will be responsible for any consequences if the contents you have sent are not allowed.
You must complete an international address card when sending parcels to the Faroe Islands, Greenland and other international destinations. Complete the front only, which is an address label.
When sending a parcel to the Faroe Islands, Greenland or other international destinations you must specify what is to happen to it if it cannot be delivered to the addressee.
However, not all countries offer both possibilities. Unless instructions are given otherwise, if the parcel cannot be delivered to the addressee it will be returned to the sender who must pay the return postage. If the sender gives up the parcel he must pay any postage, duty, etc. which is not recovered from the sale of the contents of the parcel.
For non-EU countries it can be necessary with extra customs. Further information on costums documents ask your local post office.
When your economy parcel will arrive at the recipient depends on which country you send to. The post office can give you more detailed information on the carriage time to the individual countries.
If you are sending a parcel as a "Postpakke udland" to Denmark’s major trading partners in Europe it will normally arrive within 2-3 working days. If the contents of the parcel require customs clearance for a country outside the EU you should expect it to take an extra working day.
In each case you keep the bottom copy of the address card as a certificate of posting/sender’s dispatch copy.
